IRL Convening: Boston Museum Workers

Description

May 21st, 2024 | 5:30pm – 8pm

Tufts University Art Galleries (TUAG), School of the Museum of Fine Arts of Tufts University (230 Fenway, 2nd Floor, Room B209)

Building off our in-person workshops in the Bay Area in February and Houston in March, Museums Moving Forward (MMF) is continuing our 2024 programming cycle with a convening of art museum workers in Boston. Grounded in the data that emerged from MMF’s first field-wide study, the convening is an opportunity to connect in person and co-create potential roadmaps for meaningful change.

This facilitated workshop will include:

  • An introduction to the work of MMF
  • Opportunities to connect and reflect with colleagues across art museums, and situate ourselves within MMF’s 2023 report on workplace equity and organizational culture
  • Small group breakouts that are both grounded in personal experience and solutions-focused
  • Intention setting for intra- and inter-regional community building and future collaborations with MMF.

As of May 9th, there are still a few spots available, so please RSVP as soon as possible if you still wish to attend! You must register in advance in order to attend the convening. If there is more interest than we have space for, we will let you know that we have placed you on a waiting list and notify you ASAP if a space becomes available. This workshop will be capped at 25 participants.
